It might not be the best application of the new line of Lincoln design cues, but it's combination of power and cruising capabilities might be exactly what's need next in the Lincoln lineup. The car was offered with multi-purpose crossover wagon body shapes between the years 20. Viewed next to the Edge-based MKX, the MKT makes Lincoln's current CUV look staid and antiquated in comparison. Power comes courtesy ofįord's EcoBoost 3.5-liter turbocharged and direct-injected V6, producing 415 hp and 400 lb.-ft. What Concerns Usįitting the 2012 Lincoln MKT into a garage could prove to be a challenge, so forget it if you’re one of those people who’s always set on grabbing that tiny little parking spot near the mall entrance. Add in the 8” touchscreen and rearview camera, plus the choice between seating 6 passengers or 7, and you’ve got a truly luxurious travel experience on your hands. The 12-way front seats with power heating and cooling will have everyone calling shotgun, and the standard glass roof makes the MKT feel even more open than it already is. The EcoBoost V6 engine gives this behemoth ride a healthy dose of pick-up off the draw. Comfort and convenience for transporting a large family? Yes. While the MKT may not be the sleekest, sportiest crossover out there, it does have a certain elegance to it and nothing else in its class – no matter how flashy – can compete with the three full rows of passenger comfort. This roomy wagon definitely has a different look – its bold and somewhat retro lines, draw attention in a way Lincoln hasn’t experienced since perhaps the ’78 Town Car. ![]()
